Hamster dance

I LOVE Fridays!

I inadvertently adopted a teeny tiny hamster last night. The laundry facilities are directly across from my apartment. My apartment is on the ground floor which is actually kind of sunken so you have to go down a small flight of stairs to a landing. On the return trip from the laundryroom I noticed a fuzzy grey thing on my stairs and thought, 'what the hell is that?' Closer inspection told me it was of the rodent persuasion but it was a cute fuzzy grey and white thing so I figured it to be either hampsterish or gerbilish.

I put my basket down and managed to corral it (since it was too little to go up the stairs). It was soooo cute!

Well, I got it indoors and realized I had nothing to put it in besides a large Tupperware bowl. I also realized that I have no clue what they eat! Since it was getting on 9:00 pm I made a mad dash to Petco and ended up purchasing a pricey little Critter Condo, food and cedar bedding chips.

It's a very sweet critter and fun to watch and I am thrilled that it landed on my stoop. Now I must think of a suitable name for him.

My guy is acting so silly today. He has plans for us tonight. *Huge grin*
